I love holistic and natural solutions to everyday products. When it comes to face masks, the more natural, the better but sometimes, we can’t be 100% sure what we’re buying is just that.
If you have some time and want to have fun with at home beauty remedies, these recipes are right up your alley.
Bee Pollen Face Mask – Skin plumping and collagen-stimulating. Need I say more? Mix together two tablespoons of bee pollen, ¼ cup of whole milk, one tablespoon of raw honey, and half of a mashup up avocado in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Make guacamole or slice up the other half of the avocado in the meantime. After 20 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and you will see visible improvement of fine lines and smooth skin.
Turmeric Face Mask – Why turmeric? Simple, it’s an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant spice. Mix together ½ teaspoon or turmeric and two tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt. No, you’re not preparing a Korma dish (no fruit). The mixture should be applied to your face and neck.
Leave it on for between 20 and 30 minutes and then remove with warm water. The turmeric will stain the cloth you use to remove the paste so use one that you don’t mind staining.
Berry Mask – Fresh berries are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants. Applying a berry facial mask will help exfoliate, plump, and brighten your skin. Rise off five blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries and mash them together in a bowl. That’s it; no more ingredients. Mash up the berries until they look like thick juice then apply the face. Leave the berries on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.
